Why valley spa

Features Women only days This spa hasn't listed any features. Family friendly. A social spa. Health focussed. Solo friendly. The food was another matter being served microwaved jacket spud with a slice of unmelted cheese in a Pyrex dish lid The girls filled up the water jug out of the shower cubical!

Please look at my pictures! Dont go there!!!! Negative comments or complaints made during a stay can be addressed and resolved, however none were made by the reviewer. We are regulated and checked for standards both by the authorities and the businesses whose products we promote. Our hot tub and swimming pool are carefully monitored and cleaned daily.

Furthermore, twice and year a professional company is employed for servicing and adherence to health and safety issues. It does not impact on the cleanliness, hygiene or safety of the spa. All towels, robes, bedding, etc are washed and clean when given to the customer. If a robe or towel becomes dirty during the day we replace it, but this was not requested. We offer a ladies-only spa and ample facilities for maximum occupancy. Our music varies, to try and cater for all tastes. The Wye Valley Spa is for ladies only, the comment on mixed sex changing rooms is therefore not appropriate.

For further information and photographic evidence see our website —showing photos taken and uploaded in The website is updated weekly, and relevant photographs replaced monthly. The meal prepared for this customer was cooked specifically at her request; it is not on our standard menu. Flutterbye22 11 contributions. As the lady wrote in the previous review the place is VERY dirty the towels were dirty and unchanged from previous users, the swimming pool water and hot tub looks as though it has never been cleaned since the day it was open.

The treatments felt like they where conducted by unqualified beauticians. The outside of the building looked like a construction site the staff where unhelpful. The worst experience even considering reporting the place for health and safety issues. All towels, robes, bedding, soft furnishings, etc. If a robe or towel becomes dirty during the day we replace it instantly.

This has never been necessary or requested. There are five showers, 2 separate shower rooms and a separate bathroom — for photographs taken and uploaded in see the website. All our beauticians have documents to prove their qualifications and have worked hard to achieve them, making these comments deeply hurtful and uncalled for. Not what you would expect for a spa The steam room smelt of damp and mould - did not use. The scrub room was lovely however, mould all over the walls and under the marble table.

We was told there was only one toilet in the changing areas and another 2 at the other end of the building which absolutely stank of wet dog! The jacuzzi had a scum line around the edge and also stank of chemicals to a point my eyes stung.

The treatment rooms were a good size and also treatments we received was lovely however, the foot and leg machines were not cleaned in between clients and had all bits of god knows what in the bottom - yuk!

I suppose you pay for what you get! The only thing I will say is food was great and helpful staff. I went to wye valley spa with a friend, and it is one of the worst places I have ever been. The staff were very friendly however the decor and facilities were horrendous.

The pool was closed- due to some problem which the staff would not tell us. The hot tub was very hot, but the insulation pad blocks the beautiful view, so this restricted the feeling of being relaxed. Whilst we waited for our treatments there was nothing to do. Our treatments were at different times, which meant if you were in a pair, you were left on your own, trying to find something to do.

The treatments were not relaxing, the body scrub was nice however I felt I could have done the same job at home. The foot massage, was a machine that they had clearly bought in, we were expecting someone to massage our feet by hand.

Again the neck massage was ok, it didn't feel relaxing. Once we had finished our treatments there was nothing left to do, and the staff implied people usually leave after treatments, which was fine as we were more than ready to leave. It was shame as we were very excited about our spa day and it was very disappointing. I have been to may spa days and I defiantly think paying a bit more or somewhere better is defiantly worth it, the pictures of wye valley spa are either very old or photo-shopped.

Yes, thanks for your gratitude for us honouring a voucher 5 weeks out of date and fitting you in on a weekend! You did ask if you could go in together for your treatments, which isn't possible as all 5 our private treatment rooms are equipped with 1 treatment couch only for privacy.

The Chocolate Orange Body Scrub treatment is performed in our Roman Room, on the specifically designed granite bed, under warm showers, while the therapist smooths, scrubs and personalises the therapy for each lady. We offer a good selection of lunches, including vegetarian and gluten free, all served with either gourmet fries, Jasmine rice, buttery mashed potato or a large salad.

You were the only ones to chose not to order lunch. Or any coffees, teas, soft drinks from the bar menu which is available throughout your stay. Neither did you choose to upgrade any of your treatments or take advantage of the super discounts on the famous Crystal Clear microdermabrasion or Oxygen Therapy available to our ladies, but that's perfectly acceptable and your personal choice.

The Sauna, Hot tub and Jacuzzi were available for your use all day and the Steam Room was used by many of the ladies after lunch. The outdoor pool was open but staff were obliged to remind ladies that the temperature would be cool as it was October! As well as 5 private treatment rooms we have a pedicure leg and foot treatment room and a manicure hand and arm treatment room - these can accommodate up to 4 ladies at a time.

The Club Room is spacious and offers both seating and reclining with "throws" and magazines for your enjoyment. Most of our ladies enjoy the social interaction, relaxation and the chance to chat with their friends. Photographs of our rooms and facilities appear on our website - the photos were taken by a professional, they are current and certainly not from Photo Shop! I am sorry you did not enjoy your spa day or indeed our facilities. I went to the spa a few weeks back and to be honest I wasn't going to write a review however reading the postive reviews people have written I feel it is a lie and would like people to know the truth!

I personaly would not go back to the place it was not what you would expect from a Spa! As people have mentioned there are only 2 shower heads next to each other with no partishon shower heads are not adjustable with a curtain to separate you from the changing room. As for the changing room there's only two with a curtain, no lockers for your belongings they place it in reception where anyone can walk in Pool and jacuzzi was dirty!

These unique facilities in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offer hair and beauty treatments, including sports, G5 cellulite and hot stone massages. Specialist facials and crystal clear microdermabrasion are all on offer, as well as body wraps, hand and foot treatments.
