Tried searching on here and nasioc, and didn't find what I was looking for. Thanks -Joe. I drove an 08 then 09 right after it Perrin and cobb got there hands on them when they came out and proved it to be true. But the 09's turbo is better, so in time i will swap mine out for one.
I think the money you save on a used 08 or left over is worth it. They say he is half robot and half machine. A damper valve is added to the steering gearbox to reduce kickback, particularly when cornering on rough roads. Wheels and tyres were chosen to complement the suspension springs, damping and bushing, to ensure optimum grip and ride comfort. The tyres also optimize the balance of dry and wet weather grip, steering response, NVH levels and ride comfort.
Rolling resistance and stopping distance are also reduced. All Imprezas also share the highest four-star rating for pedestrian safety.

In addition, the new chassis improves crash-worthiness and provides a stiffer platform for crisper handling. Placing the engine slightly lower in the chassis than in the previous-generation Impreza models helped lower the center of gravity in the new Impreza platform, enhancing steering response.
With the Subaru Dynamic Chassis Control Concept DC3 , Subaru optimized all elements of the Impreza's chassis to deliver a better balance of handling response, ride quality, quietness and overall traction performance than offered by competitive vehicles. See "Performance" section of this press kit for further details. Both body styles also feature front and rear under-bumper spoilers and aerodynamic side ground effects. The rear garnish panel between the light clusters is body color on the 5-Door and chrome on the sedan.
Other distinctions between the two models continue as before, including clear rear tail lamp lenses for the 5-Door and red lenses on the sedan. The 4-Door features dual tailpipe outlets, while the 5-Door uses a single, larger outlet stainless steel on Premium Package. Rally-Inspired Interior The WRX interior introduced new comfort and spaciousness for , and for it gains new WRX-exclusive carbon black checkered upholstery accented by red stitching.

Imagine buying a WRX and getting walked by a car only a year newer? If you don't believe me, maybe this drag race will help. Besides the power, the WRX had a suspension that was far too soft. Many owners complained about the fun killing body roll that made the car difficult to drive with any passion. This was remedied in the redesign returning the edge to the WRX. Finally, there's the exterior styling which speaks for its self. The looks too ordinary to be a performance car derived from a rally legend. The smooth lines and nondescript styling didn't resonate with enthusiasts the way previous models did.
Subaru was able to fix this by introducing the flared widebody model for the model year. The WRX was not a bad car, but no car exists in a vacuum. Once the is compared to the WRXs that came before it and the updated model that immediately followed, it's clear why the stands out as a failure.
